Panel: A Serious Adverse Incident Has Occurred in My Office - What Should I Do?
An adverse incident is every surgeon and patient’s worse nightmare. Don’t kid yourself; this tragedy can happen to anyone, even the most the most skilled and experienced surgeons are not immune. This panel will touch upon a variety of topics including the lessons learned by a surgeon who has first hand experience with the devastation of an adverse incident; a plaintiff’s attorney’s perspective with examples of what not to do; and the view from the regulatory seat of state medical board.
