Panel: New Approaches to Difficult Wound Healing Challenges
Wound care techniques continue to evolve both surgically and in the use of new treatment modalities in combination with or in place of surgery. The panel will focus on recent advances in wound care including vacuum assisted closure and its latest applications, new uses of skin substitutes in the care of chronic wounds, and other newer adjuncts to wound care such as ultrasound, external heating devices, and electrical therapy.
