Lecture: Practical Concepts in Dealing with Complex Wounds
Combing an aggressive debridement with modern wound healing techniques such as growth factors, cultured skin, hyperbaric oxygen, plug negative pressure dressings should convert chronic wounds into healthy ones. Over 90% of those wounds can then be closed using simple reconstructive techniques. Special attention should be paid to biomechanics to prevent recurrence.
