Panel: Lower Extremity Reconstruction: The Failed Free Flap - What Now?
Microsurgical reconstruction of lower extremity defects from trauma, ischemia, or tumor extirpation has become a standard of care resulting in high rates of limb salvage. Despite this high rate of success, free flap thrombosis, free flap failure, or reconstructive failure does occur. What is the best next step when faced with one of these significant complications? Our panelists are all very experienced reconstructive microsurgeons who will address their next approach when facing these challenging complications
