Panel: ASPSN Joint Session: Multiple Perspectives in Patient Safety – Closing the Gap
Objective: This is a must-attend session for plastic surgeons and nurses. Patient safety is not solely achieved through operative technique; it is accomplished via an integrated system of nurses, office professionals and physicians. Adherence to detail, communication and mutual respect are vital. This presentation will review issues which may not be consistently top-of-mind for both nurses and plastic surgeons. Recommendations for how each care provider can contribute to patient safety will be highlighted.
