Objective(s): To provide participants with up-to-date knowledge of indications and contra-indications for abdominal wall reconstruction using biologic and synthetic mesh. Following this presentation, learners will be able to better treat patients presenting with abdominal wall defects so that larger and/or contaminated defects can be treated without lower hernia recurrence rates.
