27709 Buttocks Contouring Surgery: Liposuction without Fat Grafting, When Less Is More?

Background: The buttock is an extremely important area in woman's sexuality and the surgery to improve their appearance is gaining more space in the media and in our offices, stimulated by technical advances and improvements of the results obtained with the use of fills, prosthesis, fat graft, gluteoplasty and even a combination of these methods. The authors present a concept of modeling the buttocks, without acting on it directly, by performing liposuction in its surroundings, making the buttocks stands out, giving the impression of augment, modeling and suspension of this area

Materials and Methods: The authors show their experience with liposuction of the buttocks contouring and discuss the aesthetic result, advantages and disadvantages compared to other traditional methods of treating this region.

Conclusions: Although not acting directly on the buttocks, with liposuction of their surroundings we can shape it, given an impression of augmentation and lifting of this region, achieving a quite satisfactory appearance.

This treatment is not intended to replace the most commonly used methods, but be one more available option in the buttocks contouring surgery.
