Submission Guidelines:

  1. 1. Author Qualifications

All authors are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships or affiliations with pharmaceutical companies, biomedical device manufacturers or other corporations whose products or services are related to the subject matter of the presentation topic. Papers previously presented at local or regional meetings are acceptable.

All correspondence is through email, you must provide valid/reliable email addresses. If your email is going to change between now and June 2020 you must notify mbogucki@plasticsurgery.org of the new email address. Abstracts submitted without a valid email address will be removed from the system and are not eligible for presentation.

Authors are required to register in advance of the conference and shall attend the conference at their own expense to present the accepted paper. If registration and payment are not made within 30 days from the acceptance notice, the paper will be removed from the program.

  2. 2. Text

Create your abstract text in a word processing program prior to beginning your online submission. Use that program to check the word count. Abstract text (which does not include title or authors) is limited to 500 words or less. Abstract text should not contain title or author information; these are specified elsewhere in the submission process. Abstracts not conforming to the prescribed format will not be considered for presentation.

Abstract approval is based on clarity, appropriateness and technical merit of work. Please format and organize your abstract in the matter that best communicates your clinical experience, cases, pearls or best practices.

A maximum of 5 references will be accepted. All citations must be numbered and cited in numerical order in the text.

Please ensure correct spelling and consistency in format.

  3. 3. Images

Relevant photographs/illustrations may be submitted to clarify and/or support the work. Adhere to the following technical points:

    • Up to 3 images may be submitted.
    • Do not label with author name(s).
    • Submit figures in color if at all possible.
    • Physical dimensions of figures should be 3.25" wide. As a general rule, the bigger, the better.
  4. 4. Edits

Alterations can be made to any part of the abstract until the submission deadline. Simply log in with the numerical user id and password provided by the system. Once the deadline has past you will no longer have access to the system.

  5. 5. Disclosures

Online disclosures will be collected for all authors. Disclosures are required for all authors. Your submission will not be considered for review if disclosures are missing for any authors.

All sources of funds supporting the work and a statement of financial interest, if any, must be included for each author, along with a list of all products, devices, drugs, etc., used in the manuscript. All manuscripts must have all of this information.

Each author must disclose at the time of submission any commercial associations or financial disclosures that might pose or create a conflict of interest with information presented in any submitted manuscript. Such associations include consultancies, stock ownership, or other equity interests, patent licensing arrangements, and payments for conducting or publicizing a study described in the manuscript.

  6. 6. Notice of Acceptance

Notice of acceptance or non-acceptance will be forwarded to the presenter only. Presenters are responsible for notifying any co-authors. All correspondence will be sent to the email address listed for the presenter. Please check this email address regularly for submission updates and notify ISPRES staff if it changes.

  7. 7. General Instructions

No names or titles should be included in the abstract text. Names will be automatically hidden during the abstract review process and will be automatically inserted and properly formatted upon publication.

Presenting authors will be automatically informed of the unique ID numbers and passwords assigned to their abstracts. Abstracts may be viewed and modified at any time between submission and the deadline, using the assigned ID# and password.
